Making a difference in the grieving process

Faire une différence dans le processus de deuil - La Meduse - Verre soufflé

For more than 15 years, we have developed a special offer in blown glass: funerary art . It is a collection that integrates the ashes of the deceased into glass creations. The offer is aimed at everyone and can represent all members of a family, including pets.

It is certain that at first glance, we do not know that these works hide ashes. It is a discreet and colorful collection which aims to honor the deceased person(s), in the present of those who are still here. Whether through a jewel, a jellyfish, an animal, we immortalize the memory of the deceased in glass, with all the delicacy in the world and respect for these important people who are no longer here.

Sometimes people share with us who their loved ones were and why they chose this or that creation, depending on what is symbolic for them. How touching. It makes these people more “alive” to us and we do our best to pay homage to them.

Ianik, when placing an order for funerary art to immortalize his mother's ashes, sent us a message with the reasons for his choice. In turn, we share them with you, because it illustrates all of this well and because it is beautiful. Here is part of his message:

“I would like to write you the context of my order, I think it will please you. My mother died two years ago. I kept a small part of his ashes while waiting to figure out what to do with them. By chance (i.e. a Facebook ad - so know that it works!) I became aware of the existence of your magnificent work.

My parents and I had a special relationship with the Islands: it was in fact where I spent my first summer vacation... at the age of six months! We went back almost every summer until I was an adult. Furthermore, my parents were passionate about local artists and craftsmen: the family home, which I inherited, is full of works. In addition, my mother was a nature lover, originally from Abitibi, and the house is located in the heart of nature, surrounded by birds. Not to mention, finally, that she was an early feminist - knowing that it is women who shape these works adds to the symbolism. In short, you will understand that there are several layers of meaning to my order :) »

We are so privileged, Sophie and I, that people choose our work to honor their loved ones . We can only do our best every time!

Thanks thanks thanks !!
